Bobrisky, the well-known socialite, was released from prison on August 5, 2024, after serving a four-month sentence. His arrest on April 4, 2024, was confirmed by the EFCC, who stated that he was taken into custody for spraying and displaying large amounts of new naira notes at a movie premiere on March 24, 2024.
Bobrisky was subsequently charged with four counts of naira abuse, to which he pleaded guilty in a Lagos Federal High Court presided over by Justice A.O. Awogboro.
